Summary: Hardscape supervisors are responsible for managing all field operations. They coordinate the procurement and scheduled use of resources such as labor, equipment, and materials to ensure maximum use and completion of work within budget, safety guidelines and quality standards. In addition, Hardscape supervisors guide and mentor field staff and assist them in carrying out their duties. They also often serve as the primary interface between the customer and the crew.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate landscaping projects from start to finish.
Manage all on-site production, such as: directing crew members and operators, coordinating materials and deliveries, and maintaining a clean and orderly job site.
Maintain productivity to meet or exceed company timelines and budgets.
Communicate with clients to understand their hardscape project.
Source and budget materials and supplies for landscaping projects.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Monitor and inspect work progress and quality on site.
Provide training and guidance to hardscape staff.
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape supervision or management.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in tool & equipment use. (Skid steer, excavators, etc)
Ability to read blueprints and scaled landscape designs.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Valid driver’s license.
Must be able to lift 50lbs and meet all physical requirements of the position.
Have a good attitude, work ethic and be trustworthy.

Qualifications

A working knowledge in the construction of all aspects of hardscape layout, elevations, and installations. Such as, but not limited to, the installation of...pervious and impervious applications, concrete pavers,brick pavers, bluestone, flagstone, travertine, various concrete finishes, retaining walls, masonry walls, vertical masonry stonework, outdoor kitchens, outdoor fireplaces/fire pits, foundations, masonry steps, pergolas, etc.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Ability to read blueprints and scaled landscape designs.
