The Lawn Care Technician will be responsible for performing various lawn maintenance and care tasks for residential and commercial properties. This role requires knowledge of proper lawn care techniques, equipment operation, and customer service to ensure our clients' lawns are healthy, well-maintained, and aesthetically pleasing.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular lawn care tasks, including mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing debris to maintain clean and well-manicured lawns.
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and other treatments to promote healthy lawn growth and manage weed and pest control.
- Aerate lawns, apply seed, and perform soil conditioning as needed to improve soil health and lawn quality.
- Communicate with clients to understand their lawn care needs and provide advice on proper lawn maintenance and care.
- Address customer concerns or questions about services and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting machinery for proper functioning.
- Report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor and assist with scheduling repairs or replacements.
- Keep accurate records of services performed, including product applications, lawn conditions, and client requests.
- Track and report any issues or concerns with client properties, such as damage to lawns or irregular growth patterns, to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience (1-2 years) in lawn care, landscaping, or a related field preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
- Experience with lawn care equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and sprayers is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic lawn care techniques, including mowing, fertilization, aeration, and pest control.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy equipment, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (for travel to client sites).
