Job Description
The Assistant Account Manager will support the Account Manager in managing client relationships, overseeing maintenance crews, and ensuring the highest quality of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management:
- Assist in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients, as directed by the Account Manager, promptly addressing their needs and concerns.
- Participate in client meetings and site visits with the Account Manager to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for service improvement.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality and identify improvement areas.
- Ensure all maintenance activities meet or exceed Bland Landscaping Company standards and client expectations.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Assist in preparing reports, proposals, and presentations for clients.
- Maintain accurate client interactions, maintenance activities, and service outcomes records.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the maintenance crews, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities - Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Management and Accounting
- Keep informed of new practices in the green industry.
- Keep informed of new or potential enhancement sales.
Customer Service and Sales
- Customer retention
- Maintain excellent on-site relations and communications with clients, contractors, and/or subcontractors.
Production
- Safely drives company-owned vehicles.
- Work with other Production Managers to ensure a consistent product.
- Work with other managers on work schedules, including seasonal work needs.
- Work with other departments and personnel when needed.
- Help with snow removal in the winter months.
Horticulture
- Knowledgeable of all horticulture practices associated with commercial grounds maintenance.
- Understands what we do as a company regarding commercial grounds maintenance.
- Promote proper horticulture by educating customers and providing proper horticulture requests to production.
Pay/Benefits Package
- $65,000 + Depending on Experience

Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent and a bachelor’s degree in business, horticulture, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or a related industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of landscaping and ground maintenance practices.
- Experience in client relationship management.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
