Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced
Sales Manager within the luxury landscaping business to lead their sales efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, preferably within the landscaping or construction sector, and will be responsible for driving revenue, building relationships with clients, and managing a team of sales professionals. This role requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, along with a deep understanding of landscaping services and customer needs. The Sales Manager will travel to different prospects as well as mushroom any business that exists.
Salary/Hourly Rate
$90K depending on experience.
Position Overview
The Sales Manager will be responsible for building new relationships with potential businesses and travel to meetings with a good to bring in new business. This candidate will also have strong follow up with potential leads and adjust strategies as needed. A successful Sales Manager will learn and develop sales tactics.
Responsibilities Of The Sales Manager
- The Sales Manager will develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and increase market share in the landscape industry.
- Identify new business opportunities and target markets for landscaping services.Set and achieve sales goals, monitoring performance and adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive products, and client demands to maintain a competitive edge.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, architects, designers, contractors, and property managers.
- Provide personalized consultation and recommendations for clients based on their landscaping needs and budget.
- Address client concerns and feedback to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and exceed client expectations.
- Conduct regular sales meetings and training sessions to enhance team performance and product knowledge.
- Develop sales tactics and provide coaching to sales representatives on closing techniques and relationship-building.
- Prepare detailed sales proposals, contracts, and quotes for landscape projects.
- Manage the sales pipeline, track opportunities, and monitor project progression from proposal to completion.
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management, analyzing data to optimize sales strategies.
- Work closely with the estimating and project management teams to ensure smooth project handovers and client expectations are met.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to develop promotional materials and campaigns to attract new business.
- The Sales Manager will attend networking events, industry trade shows, and conferences to promote the company's services and generate leads.
- Participate in local business development activities to increase brand visibility and grow the company's client base.
Required Experience/Skills for the Sales Manager:
- 5+ years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven success in sales within the landscaping, construction, or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of landscape services, products, and market trends.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a sales team, driving results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Able to speak clearly and communicate objectives to others.
- Self- motivated and detail oriented.

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree in Business preferred.
