Randall's Farm & Greenhouse is looking to add an experienced Retail Greenhouse/Garden Center Manager to the team. This person will manage the overall operations of the greenhouse, garden center, growing range, and all assigned personnel while developing and implementing plans which support the goals and objectives of the company. Personnel Management of Assistant Greenhouse Managers, Grower, Greenhouse Clerks, Grounds Crew; interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, scheduling and overall supervision, including performance evaluation and discipline. Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare long term & short-term plans for all greenhouse operations Oversee the execution of operational plans Supervise and direct Assistant Managers (Inside, Outside and Floral) through daily meetings, effective communication, and written task lists. Oversee all product pricing/merchandizing Maintain awareness of current and seasonal plant and giftware sales trends Maintain pertinent records accurately including budgets/finances, weekly hours and cost of goods sold Oversee merchandising of greenhouse, garden center and seasonal sales displays Work with Assistant Managers to prepare marketing information for weekly ads, holiday themes, seasonal concepts, workshops, and weekly commercials. Trouble shoot issues and take appropriate action to resolve +/or notify owner. Maintain/ensure proper dress and adherence to company policy. Other Responsibilities: Oversee maintenance of outside plantings and curb appeal for store, holiday decorating of store, signage for entrance and roadside blackboard, weekly radio ad, performs other related duties as assigned including assisting other departments.
