STARTING RATE OF PAY IS $19 PER HOUR AND COULD INCREASE FROM THERE DEPENDENT UPON PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE AND ANY CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES YOU HOLD.
This is NOT an entry level position and requires at least 1 year of previous Landscape Porter, Property Porter or Municipal Porter experience as well as at least 1 full year of Landscaping & Snow Removal experience.
OTHER MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:
· Valid Driver's License: Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license.
· Chauffeur’s Endorsement: A chauffeur’s endorsement or chauffeur’s license is Preferred.
· DDOT Medical card: preferred Candidate already holds one. If you do not have a DDOT Medical Card you MUST be able to pass a Medical exam that includes a drug Test (this is a Federal requirement).
Here’s what you’d do:
•The Porter will be responsible for executing site level tasks on BrightView’s client sites.
You’d be responsible for:
- Keeping the premises of BrightView’s clients’ grounds in clean and orderly condition
- Light landscaping
- Transport trash and waste to disposal area
- Demonstrate strong professionalism and integrity while representing BrightView
- Assist maintenance team with snow removal (as applicable)
- Physically walk the property on a frequent basis and remove litter
- Clean and rake shrub areas; shovel mud when necessary
- Use blower to keep sidewalks and walking areas clean of loose grass and brush Repair and replace windows, screens, sliding glass doors, etc
- Driving to designated areas in vehicle and picking up trash with trash grabbers
- Other Duties as assigned
