Metro Detroit landscape company with very aggressive growth goals is looking for a salesperson to drive business development. The company is open to candidates without landscaping experience; however, the ideal candidate will have sufficient industry experience to execute a full-cycle sales process, including: generating opportunities, meeting with prospects and clients, accurately estimating time and materials, preparing proposals, presenting and finally closing.
Responsibilities- Call on property managers, apartment complexes, and other buyers of commercial landscaping and snow services
- Document prospecting and sales activity
- Meet with prospects and clients to understand their landscaping needs
- Prepare estimates and proposals and present to prospect or client
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
- Represent the company in a professional manner
- Other tasks and responsibilities as necessary to advance the company
Requirements- Must be able to handle rejection in the course of prospecting
- Must be willing to make cold calls using the phone and email
- Must have strong communication ability both written and verbal
- Able and willing to work at office in Oak Park, MI. This is not a remote position
- Strong knowledge of commonly used local plants, trees, and landscape materials (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of common landscaping practices and procedures (preferred)
- Previous B2B sales experience (preferred)
- Experience selling to or working with property managers (preferred)
- Basic computer & technology use ability
Compensation- Base salary plus commission
- Uncapped earning potential
- Compensation offer based on experience and ability
