JOB SUMMARY: The Fleet Manager will oversee the purchasing and maintenance of vehicles to maximize profitability.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in in Logistics or Finance preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 5-8 years related work experience
- Minimum of 5 years as a Fleet Manager or similar role
License or Certification
- As required by state and federal law
- Valid driver license
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a Fleet Manager
Specialized Skills
- Experience in Fleet, Procurement, and Facilities
- Proven work experience as a Fleet Manager or similar role
- Experience working in and maintaining databases using Microsoft Excel and others relevant to company processes
- Exceptional ability to conceptualize large-picture projects and foresee challenge and needs to be addressed
- Ability to think strategically and tactically
- Experience working to improve all aspects of fleet operations by streamlining processes and locating the best prices for inventory
- Analytical mind with business acumen
- Problem-solving aptitude and strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding organizational ability

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Purchase and maintain vehicles for deliveries
- Research and seek out the most cost-efficient procedures and methods on deciding whether to lease or buy vehicles
- Research and seek to negotiate best-price contracts to increase business revenue
- Seek to improve all aspects of the fleet operations department by reviewing current methodology and processes
- Assist in promoting a positive image and inter-business relationship with business partners
- Maintain a friendly and professional relationship with vendors while promoting company initiatives and values
- Oversee Inventory procedures
- Find ways to cut costs and maximize profit
- Maintain vehicle serving records and ensuring operational efficiency across the fleet throughout the year
- Work closely with Drivers and Auto Mechanics within the organization to ensure operations run smoothly and vehicles are maintained based on company standards
- Develop efficient driver schedules to maximize profits
- Manage drivers so they adhere to strict schedules
- Register and license all vehicles under their management
- Develop strategies for greater fuel efficiency
- Maintain detailed records of vehicle servicing and inspections
- Assist in the recruitment of quality drivers into the fleet

Pay Range: $120,000 - $133,000
