The Landscape General Manager will lead and manage the landscape maintenance and install division, ensuring quality, budget compliance, timely project completion and ensuring optimal efficiencies are met. This role is to “Serve, Mentor, and Coach” the Atlanta team, be an example of high-quality customer service, manage financial and operational processes, and implement forward thinking initiatives for continuous improvement. This is a complex position where the candidate will be challenged to wear many hats, manage a variety of variables, and support a team of diverse backgrounds while empowering this team to grow and meet company goals. The General Manager will take part in leadership initiatives and play a vital role in the overall growth and sustainability of the organization. Lawn South is looking for someone who is service oriented and sacrificial in their efforts to coach and mentor their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve, Coach and Mentor regional team. This is priority number 1.
- Ensure that customer service is at the forefront of our daily actions by being an example of expectations.
- Oversee the landscape maintenance and enhancement sales pipeline.
- Evaluate market trends and provide leadership with feedback for marketing activities and operational adjustments.
- Oversee and conduct the weekly safety trainings
- Oversee and conduct reoccurring Account Management training sessions
- Hold operational and sales team accountable to achieving desired goals and outcomes.
- Oversee and manage Turf Care, Fertilization, and Chemical programs.
- Oversee and manage fleet and equipment maintenance
- Participate in the roll out and delegation of companywide initiatives. Bring your ideas, wisdom and experience to the table
- Proactively seek out efficiencies within the operational and sales process that allows for both company and financial growth.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Horticulture, Landscape Management, Project management or a related field
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial management, and project management software
- Familiarity with accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, profit & loss statements, and balance sheets for a book of business
- Experience in evaluating market changes and trends
- Proven track record of leading a team of 20+ employees.
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscape maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices, equipment, and safety standards
- Herbicide, fungicide, pesticide, and fertilizer knowledge. Applicators license
- Intimate knowledge of landscape fleet, tools, and equipment
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Experience with Aspire landscape software
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance and maintaining necessary licenses and certifications
