We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Sales and Marketing to lead and drive growth across multiple departments and branch locations, including our maintenance account management, maintenance business development, landscape sales, and marketing teams. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, results-oriented leader, and excellent communicator who can align sales and marketing strategies with the overall growth strategy of Weller Brothers. This position will report directly to the CEO and play a critical role in shaping the future growth of the company.
Leadership and Team Responsibilities:
- Serve as point of contact and liaison for Sales and Marketing Teams.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the maintenance account management team, maintenance business development team, landscape sales team, and marketing team.
- Foster a collaborative and creative work environment amongst teams
- Conduct regular 1 on 1 meetings with team members.
- Conduct regular performance reviews
- Provide feedback, and support professional development.
- Travel to branch locations consistently as needed to engage, train an mentor team.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture focused on achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional client experiences.
Strategic Sales Management Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to grow the company’s market share in landscape design, construction, and maintenance services.
- Oversee all aspects of business development, including lead generation, client acquisition, and retention strategies.
- Establish sales targets, forecast revenue growth, and develop strategies to exceed sales goals across all business segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Marketing and Brand Strategy:
- Ensure cohesive branding and messaging across sales and marketing departments, including marketing materials and campaigns and sales team communications with clients.
- Develop and manage consistent alignment and communication between sales, account management, business development and marketing departments.
- Support and oversee the marketing department in budget creation and allocation ensuring alignment with sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Work with marketing department to analyze and adjust budget allocations as needed based on sales performance to improve ROI.
- Assist marketing department in analyzing market trends, customer insights, sales activity and competition to identify growth opportunities.
Operational and Financial Oversight Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the CEO and executive leadership team to align sales and marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
- Develop and manage the annual sales and marketing budget, ensuring cost efficiency while achieving growth targets.
- Utilize data-driven insights to optimize sales processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and increase operational efficiency.
- Report regularly on key performance indicators (KPIs), sales performance metrics, and marketing ROI to the CEO.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, marketing, and business development, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
- Experience in the landscaping, construction, or related service industries is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and drive results.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales and marketing strategies.
- Proficient in CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and data analytics.
- Highly organized, with strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
