Summary: As the Commercial Landscape Account Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all interaction with the client, keeping them informed on all aspects of the maintenance process. The Account Manager has a natural desire to serve and thrives on building and maintaining relationships. The AM manages and renews their book of business, performs ongoing business development activities, prepares new sales presentations and suggests enhancement work to commercial clients. This role proactively conducts property walk-throughs (site audits) with the client, suggests improvements to the landscape and maintenance practices, resolve and update issues in the CRM, and ensures all change orders/enhancements are completed and billed properly.
Job Duties:
- Nurtures the client relationship as the main point of contact for managed commercial accounts.
- Performs property site audits to offer proactive solutions to our clients and monitor quality.
- Maintains and acts on the client relationship utilizing Aspire software for account information (CRM), issues, sales, estimating and billing.
- Interfaces with the maintenance division director and production managers to plan for scheduling and coordination of services meeting client expectations and efficiency goals.
- Directs crew members on property specs and quality feedback to ensure company standards and proper horticulture / turf practices are being maintained.
- Renew recurring service contracts, achieving client retention goals and NPS scores.
- Coordinate consultations with landscape designers and other service partners.
- Professionally represent the company on sales calls and networking events to build their book of business and grow neighborhood density.
- Perform consistent business development activities such as cold calls, emails, social media.
- Creates compelling sales presentations in person and via email to new and existing clients.
- Generate training documents and lead training sessions on proper horticulture practices.
- Oversee plant warranties as well as the selling and production of seasonal color displays.
- Professionally manages the sales pipeline as well as weekly updates in sales planner.
- Prepares for and attends weekly sales, production, and scheduling meetings.
- Engages in company initiatives and leadership/sales development opportunities.
- Manage & sell snow accounts and participate in snow operations during the winter months.
Measurables:
- Client response time following the 12/12 rule.
- NPS scores greater than 65.
- Annual sales goals and net revenue retention goals.
- Weekly site audit and proposed work goals.
- Business development activities and pipeline development.
Desired Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in landscape design, horticulture, agriculture, or related field preferred; relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Must be a landscape professional and have strong horticulture knowledge.
- Minimum of 5 years’ combined experience in sales, management, production.
- Possess a strong desire and motivation to serve.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the strong ability to sell.
- Proficient with computer programs such as Office365, take-off and CRM systems.
- Strong math skills – experience gathering take-offs and estimating time and materials.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving background.
- Ability to maintain a professional and positive demeanor always.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Total compensation based on revenue under management and new sales.
- First year – manage approximately $1-1.5M in annual business and sell $200k of new work.
- First year base salary of $65,000-$80,000 with opportunity to earn commissions
- Future opportunity & expectation to manage $2M+ of business and sell $500k+ of new work
