What Will You Do?
The Territory Manager is responsible for meeting or exceeding planned sales within the territory. Expanding and improving Landscape Contractor equipment and parts sales through continuous prospecting, building relationships and demoing equipment directly to landscaping companies. Working with RLC and SF&G Territory Managers and our dealers to grow LCE sales through our dealer network. Representing Wesco Turf in a professional manner and manage relationships with existing customers to increase loyalty and market share for Wesco Turf and all distributed lines. This position will be responsible for setting up new accounts, financing or leasing equipment, parts sales and service maintenance packages for customer’s fleets of Toro equipment.

Dimensions
- Manage and grow LCE sales in each territory.
- Meet or exceed each 6-month budget which rolls up to annual budget.
- Territory: consists but is not limited to Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, Lee, Collier, Hendry, Glades, Highlands, Hardee counties and parts of Polk county.
Compensation Package - Base Salary/Bonuses/Other Incentives
- Base Salary: starting at $70,000 / year based on experience
- Eligible for a companywide bonus that is dependent on the company meeting performance goals. Equivalent to 0 - 3 weeks of additional pay, prorated for your first year.

Accountabilities
Sales
- Provide outside sales support within territory for all Wesco products and services. Meet or exceed assigned sales goals for LCE products.
- Maintain designated margins on sales of whole goods.
- Prospect for new landscaping companies and drive growth through existing dealer base.
- Remain aware of major competition in the marketplace and be prepared to report and offer input on competitive products and programming.
- Deliver equipment as needed.
- Work with Dealers on their Open House dates and promotions to maximize advertising, promotions, by directly contacting landscape companies to attend events.
- Strategize how to grow business by at least 10% from list of targeted landscapers to Wesco and Toro as part of fiscal business plan.
- Strategize to target competitive equipment take-outs as assigned by Wesco/Toro each fiscal year.
- Concentrate and grow the Collier County dealer base and market share.
Training
- Conduct annual service, safety and product knowledge training with retailers and landscape companies. Quantify / co-ordinate w/ each TM.
- Field visit and training session to each new retailer within 3 weeks of set up date. Follow up training as needed.
- Conduct annual municipal, National and regional account service and safety training.
- Conduct semi-annual training with customer service employees at WT.
- Attend all required sales and service training seminars.
- Stay up to date with specifications, and service school notes for any pertinent information that may or may not be available on Toro web sites.
- Demo equipment for customers as required.
- Designate retailer(s) to perform routine or warranty repairs / adjustments or re-works on demos, golf course Z mowers, defective, o-box or units damaged in shipping / warehousing.
- Inform appropriate WT associates of product / service issues.
- Assure customer service expectations are met and promote a standard of excellence in customer satisfaction. Achieve CSI overall rating of at least 8.0 for Consumer / LCE.
- Implement Toro / Wesco CSI action plan items as assigned by Division Manager.
- Work with Wesco’s service department and SF&G Territory Managers to gather data needed and sale Wesco’s Service Agreements to customers.
Marketing, Advertising and Merchandising
- Plan and execute annual business planning process for dealers with Territory Managers to grow their business through the increase of commercial accounts using Toro LCE products (whole goods and parts) throughout the year.
- Work with Territory Managers to develop and execute strategies to help dealers move products as needed when items are coming due or not turning.
- Assist dealers with service programs, parts availability, equipment demos, planning, ordering and organization for open houses and customer appreciation days.
Administration
- Submit weekly activity reports to the Sales Manager by 9am each Monday. Include schedule information for past week and upcoming 3 weeks.
- Turn in expense reports weekly
- Maintain Toro Extranet customer list for assigned territory
- Follow budget and progress within territory in Salesforce program
- Maintain company property: vehicle, files, demo accounts
- Review monthly reports on sales, owned inventory, clearance items, demos and obox units.
- Maintain current Territory Plan document and review with Division Manager quarterly. Including all landscaping companies’ names, addresses, lines carried, background or status, dollar volumes for existing competitor’s equipment (TY, LY, %Chg)
- Maintain file of assigned competitive equipment and programs
- Other projects as assigned.
Customer Satisfaction
- Assure customer service expectations are met and promote a standard of excellence in customer satisfaction. Achieve CSI overall rating of at least 8.0 for LCE products through dealer and end-user training.
- Follow up and return customer phone calls and emails within 24 hours.
- Follow up and return Sales Manager calls and emails as priority.
- Respond to Dealer Meeting action items within 1 week.
- Implement Toro/Wesco CSI action plan items as assigned by Division Manager.
- Assure good service and prompt follow-up and follow through to assure high scores on Maritz surveys conducted every other year.

- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and handle the pressure of deadlines
- Minimum level of education is high school
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in administrative/customer service/sales or related support function
- Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus
