MVP Landscaping is dedicated to hiring youth and young adults from southeast Fort Wayne, providing them with training in professional landscaping and lawn care under the guidance of our skilled landscaping team. General Position Summary
The Landscaping Foreman position is held by an individual who is very attentive to detail. This person will be responsible for all comprehensive, premium lawn care provided to high value customers. This crew is expected to provide exceptional service every visit and is provided with adequate time and the tools to do so. This person will be the onsite point of contact so communication with customers and colleagues is very important.
Exempt/ Non-exempt: Non-exempt Reports to: MVP Landscaping General Manager
Salary/ Hourly Rate: $16-$19/hour Effective: March 1, 2025

Experience And Qualifications
- Safely operate all assigned equipment and tools
- Lifting 50 lbs.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, twist, reach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Good supervisory skills
- Registered Technician (will supply study materials and pay for testing)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Acceptable driving record
- Experience leading a lawn care crew (1 year)
Key Responsibilities
- Lawn care service to include mowing, weed eating, edging & clean-up
- Weed control includes removing weeds from hard surfaces and from inside of the beds
- Spring & fall clean-ups
- Leaf removal
- Bed maintenance to include pruning and mulching
- Installing sod, pavers, and river rock
- Basic maintenance of lawn care equipment & tools
- Keep work environments clean and safe
- Monitor lawn and landscape quality and report problems to General Manager
- Monitoring inventory of materials and supplies and reporting needs to General Manager
- Supervise, monitor, mentor, and train crew in an effective manner
- Give input on performance of assigned crew
- Be available to assist other work crews as needed
- Complete all assigned daily tasks on Jobber list
- Be prepared and initiate assigned duties in a timely manner
- Communicate needs, concerns and/or problems to supervisor
- Maintain good communication and positive relations with co-workers, customers and the public
- Always represent the company in a positive manner
- Other landscaping/fertilizing tasks as assigned or as needed
- Be able to drive and operate truck and trailer
Working Conditions
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Physical demands include lifting, bending, and operating heavy equipment.
- Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as needed.
