Description:Ganim's Garden Center & Florist, LLC seeks full and part time nursery stock and retail sales associates for the 2025 season. For the right candidates this could be a long term commitment to our company; we want to find the right individual who is a good fit with our goals for the company, our personalities and the overall character of the nursery. Candidates must be a motivated, hardworking, individuals who are passionate about plants and people, willing to learn and take on responsibility.
This position will require you to be on your feet all day and outside in various weather conditions. Candidates must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbs. Applicants should be a resourceful self-starter who is willing to be a team player but also capable of working independently. Communication skills, customer care, and managing customer expectations are essential to this position. We expect that the individual will be proactive and helpful, with a can-do attitude, flexible to adjust to a dynamic work environment with seasonal demands.
In addition to sales and customer service the individual will need to assist in setting up product displays and merchandizing, assist in loading and unloading of product deliveries as well as maintenance of product.
Candidates will be required to work weekends, as needed.
Skills Required: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of personalities. Knowledge in plant nomenclature and characteristics of ornamental trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals.
