Hybrid Sales Representative – Lawn & Turf Specialist

Eckroat Seed Company is looking for a motivated
Sales Representative to join our team! This role will involve both assisting customers in-store and traveling to customer locations to provide expert sales support and consultation. The ideal candidate will have experience in turf management, agronomy, or landscaping, as well as strong customer service and sales skills.

We serve a diverse customer base, including homeowners, landscapers, commercial farmers, municipalities, and athletic turf managers, offering expertise and products to help them achieve optimal turf and soil health.
What You'll Do
- Assist customers in-store by recommending lawn and turf products based on their needs
- Conduct on-site visits to current and potential customers to offer expert advice and solutions
- Analyze soil test results and provide professional recommendations for improving soil health and turf performance
- Build relationships with landscapers, golf course managers, municipalities, commercial farmers, and athletic turf managers
- Identify sales opportunities and generate new business within the lawn and turf industry
- Lead or conduct training sessions for customers and staff on best practices in lawn care, seeding, and fertilization
- Use QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and other computer programs for order processing, customer tracking, and sales reporting
- Work independently in the field while also collaborating closely with the entire sales team
What We're Looking For
- Experience in agronomy, landscape, turf management, or a related field
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Experience analyzing soil test results and making data-driven recommendations
- Experience leading or conducting training sessions for teams or customers
- Sales experience or willingness to learn and grow in a sales role
- Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and QuickBooks
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with the sales team
- Ability to travel locally using company vehicle to meet with customers (valid driver's license required)
- Passion for lawn care, landscaping, and commercial farming/turf management
