ECHO is seeking a Field Product Demonstrator (preferably Bilingual -Spanish) who will be based inside of the Dallas, TX Distributor territory. The Field Product Demonstrator will be well versed in landscaping equipment and promote sales, marketing, and service support activities throughout the multi-state territory. The focus of this position is to be a battery expert to drive ECHO commercial battery business and deliver product knowledge training to dealers, end-users, and the local distributor sales team.
This position requires non-negotiable travel (60% - 75%) using a company provided vehicle including overnight stays.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prospect for and perform product demonstrations with commercial end users, cities, municipalities, and park districts within the assigned territory and drive sales into local dealers concentrated primarily on battery business.
- Perform all aspects of Merchandising at Regional Accounts and Dealers.
- Participate in event support activities including national and regional trade shows, dealer events, distributor events, open houses, and customer appreciation sales events.
- Provide training for distributors, dealers, regional/national accounts, and end users in the assigned territory.
- Support ECHO and distributor sales programs and marketing initiatives.
- Execute and follows company programs, policies, and procedures.
- Record and timely distribute accurate records of all prospecting, merchandising, and training activities to manager and distributor representatives.
- Maintain company property including vehicle, computer, tools, and equipment.
- Protect organization’s value by keeping certain information confidential.

Job Experience/Skills:
- Field Sales or demonstration experience preferred.
- Effective communication skills: bi-lingual Spanish is preferred.
- Knowledge and familiarity with outdoor power equipment preferred (trimmers, chainsaws, backpack blowers, etc.).
- Prior landscaping experience a strong plus.
- Valid driver’s license
- Required to pass background check.
- Mechanical aptitude required.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job:
- Capable of maneuvering and lifting 50-100 lbs.
- Sitting while driving for extended periods of time.
- Ability to stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Self-motivated and the ability to work independently within a sales team structure.
- Ability to make good business decisions.
- Proficiency with MS Suite, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Handle a fast-paced work environment.
- Conflict resolution skills: Managing and resolving conflict in a positive way.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of proprietary company information.
Travel: 60% - 75% to customers within the territory, using a company provided vehicle.
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business preferred or related experience.
