As an Account Manager on our maintenance team, you will demonstrate your estimating skills and horticultural knowledge by providing solutions and enhancement updates to clients' landscapes. Your days will begin in the landscaping yard coaching our maintenance crews, with the remainder of your time spent outside of the office meeting with clients, bidding on new work, and managing projects. You’ll showcase your people skills by building relationships with current and prospective clients, conducting site visits, and effectively translating clients’ needs into reality.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage and nurture client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention
- Provide landscape solutions and enhancement updates to clients
- Estimate project costs and prepare bids for new work
- Conduct site visits and meet with clients to discuss project requirements
- Manage project timelines and ensure timely completion
- Communicate effectively with clients through email, phone, and in-person meetings
Required Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of plants and horticultural care
- Strong organizational skills and timely follow-through with clients
- Outstanding communication skills for coaching crews and staying connected with clients
- Excellent listening skills to understand clients' thoughts, problems, and concerns
- Project management experience
- 3 years of field experience in landscape maintenance as a Foreman or above
- Background in landscape installation as well as maintenance is preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to use landscape management software
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company guidelines for driver eligibility

- $60,000-80,000 annual salary + commission

Work Schedule and Environment
- You’ll work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with weekends off.
- Hours of work vary seasonally, start times generally between 6am and 7am.
- This position is based out of our main office and landscaping headquarters in SE Portland.
