Are you an experienced landscaping professional with a strong background in fieldwork, plant knowledge, and the ability to lead and grow a team? Do you thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment while maintaining excellent client relationships? We are seeking a Landscape Maintenance Manager/Salesperson to join our team, focusing on teamwork, communication, and building strong connections with both clients and employees.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Support:
- Manage and support landscape maintenance crews, answering their questions and helping them succeed in their roles.
- Provide guidance and education on weed control, proper pruning techniques, disease and insect controls, and plant care.
- Prepare and distribute schedules for crews to ensure efficient workflow and optimal productivity.
- Handle team concerns professionally, fostering a respectful and supportive workplace.
- Arrive early to prepare for the day, ensuring crews have everything they need to succeed.
- Assist with occasional Saturday operations during the busy season and snow removal tasks during winter, which may require flexible hours.
Sales and Client Relations:
- Accurately estimate work, prepare timely and clear proposals, and follow up to build strong client partnerships.
- Build meaningful relationships with clients, maintaining regular communication and addressing their needs promptly.
- Visit client sites regularly to ensure quality service and check satisfaction.
- Offer tailored solutions and services to clients, upselling where appropriate to meet their unique needs.
- Work closely with other office staff to ensure smooth operations and timely communication
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both in writing and in person, with team members, clients, and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record required.
- Experience working hands-on in landscaping or a related field, ideally with high-end residential properties, is preferred.
- Knowledge of local plants, plant care, weed control, pruning, and disease/insect management
- Professional and approachable demeanor, with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to estimate work and create effective proposals
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance competing priorities
- Experience using Microsoft products, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
