The Job
The Horticulture Maintenance Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and expanding an existing portfolio of horticulture maintenance clients, while also managing a small portfolio of contract landscape maintenance customers. Daily collaboration with internal production teams is essential to ensure that proper horticultural practices, customer desires, as well as company standards are met. A solid foundation in horticulture as well as a strong commitment to exemplary customer service is essential.
Skills and Qualifications
- Two (2) years + of experience and success as a Landscape Maintenance Account Manager or higher-level crew supervisor looking to take the next step, preferably serving high-end residential and institutional clients.
- Strong background in correct horticultural practices (Pruning, IPM, etc.).
- Certified Plant Horticulturist (CPH) and other related trade certifications preferred.
- Undergraduate degree in a landscape related field.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish or are able to effectively communicate with crew members who may not speak English.
- Prepare site take-offs and estimates for maintenance and enhancement sales that are creative and remain consistent with the brand image of the company.
- Able to work independently to prospect for new clients.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of computer software (Windows environment and Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook). BOSS LM or similar landscape industry software a plus.
- A valid Maryland Drivers license is required.
