SLDG is a full-service boutique landscaping firm in Houston and Sugar Land specializing in premier residential gardens. We are currently looking for applicants with a Horticulture, or related field degree that will be trained for a position in Garden and Project Management.
Duties will include:
Uphold horticultural standards and practices to ensure health and longevity of the lawns and bedding plants
Manage schedules, lead maintenance and install crews ensuring all operations are efficient and high-quality meeting company standards
Regularly visit properties to oversee all aspects of the health and maintenance of gardens, lawns, and trees by conducting routine inspections, instructing crews, adjusting irrigation, managing pest and disease, and planning and executing seasonal flower installations.
Cultivate relationships with clients through proactive communication including phone calls, emails, and in person meetings.
Generate and propose enhancement ideas and estimates to present to clients.
Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, builders, and city departments on small projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in horticulture or 4 years experience in a landscape supervisor role
State driver’s license
Excellent communication skills- bilingual (Spanish and English) Preferred
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Ability to work outside in various seasons and weather conditions
Ability to work full time Monday to Friday
