MVP Landscaping is dedicated to hiring youth and young adults from southeast Fort Wayne, providing them with training in professional landscaping and lawn care under the guidance of our skilled landscaping team. General Position Summary
The Landscape Manager/Foreman is responsible for overseeing and managing landscape installation and maintenance projects from start to finish of a particular site account. This role involves supervising a team, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. The Landscape Manager/Foreman must have a deep understanding of landscape design, horticulture, and irrigation systems, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

Reports to: General Operations Manager
Hourly Rate/ Salary: $40,000—55,000
Effective: February 15, 2025

Experience And Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in landscaping, horticulture, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in landscaping (supervising a crew).
- Strong knowledge of landscape design, horticulture, and irrigation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy objects.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to operate landscaping machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities - Project Management:
- Plan, organize, and execute landscape installation and maintenance projects according to specifications and design plans.
- Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project flow.
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure deadlines are met.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and manage a team, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring that team members work efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment by enforcing company policies and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular team meetings and team check-ins to discuss progress, address issues, and provide feedback.
- Technical Expertise:
- Read and interpret landscape design plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools.
- Install and maintain plants, trees, shrubs, and other landscaping elements.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to plant health, soil conditions, and irrigation.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets design specifications and client expectations.
- Make necessary adjustments to achieve high-quality results.
- Address client concerns promptly and professionally.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and labor hours.
- Assist with budgeting and cost estimation for projects.
- Report project status to the Operations Manager regularly.
Working Conditions
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Physical demands include lifting, bending, and operating heavy equipment.
- Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as needed.
